WGGO is proposing an educational campaign to address environmental justice in New York City by partnering with small businesses that adhere to sustainable practices.
This initiative informs the public by criticizing the consumption of products from companies with a high carbon footprint. For example: fast fashion companies, transportation companies and fast food chains.
WGGO’s initiative aims to build relationships with small local businesses around NYC, included but not limited to: local coffee shops, juice bars, thrift stores, and libraries for marketing campaigns.
WGGO’s campaign serves to spread awareness of past, current, and future events related to climate change and organizations/businesses that have adopted environmentally friendly practices. The campaign is done through WGGO’s social media platforms, such as twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
